TORAT CHAIM In a joint effort with bereaved families, NAVAH has launched a unique campaign to commission the writing of a Torah scroll in memory of 30 Israeli victims of terror. (To see a list of the 30 people that this Torah will be dedicated to, click here) For the families of victims, this Torah will serve as an important symbol to memorialize those they lost. For the Jewish world, it will act as a reminder of the sacrifices made by these victims in the name of their land and the Jewish people. For the innocent victims, robbed of the opportunity to ever realize their full potential, a Torah is viewed as the most appropriate gift that could be returned to the Jewish world. In memory of those who were never given the gift of a full life, let us remember them through the ultimate gift… The Gift of Torah. To be dedicated for use at the Western Wall, this Torah scroll will offer the message to the world that while their lives have been extinguished, their memories will never be forgotten. Through our Living Torah Campaign, you will take part in the production of this ultimate tribute to their memories… and their lives.
Be a Part of this Special Torah Scroll. NAVAH has produced an exclusive educational program that can be used for teachers, families, bar and bat mitzvah children, schools and synagogues. The package includes an educational film on the production of Torah scrolls and a resourceful information guide. We have also produced a movie for kindergarten children.
